10 Bariatric Approved Chicken Recipe Hacks

Updated: Feb 7, 2023

Grilled chicken is one of my favorite healthy dinners, but it doesn’t have to be bland. All it takes is a few simple steps and tasty ingredients! Let's get cooking!

  1. Balsamic Grilled Chicken with Spicy Honey Bacon Glaze – My hack for this recipe is subbing agave nectar or molasses for brown sugar. This is super easy and only 4 Ingredients!

  2. Grilled Greek Lemon Chicken – this chicken is so easy to prepare and it’s deliciously flavorful! I like to sub Avocado oil for the olive oil!

  3. Grilled Hawaiian Chicken with Coconut Rice – An awesome grilled chicken recipe, I would obviously not cook the rice because of the carbs and substitute the brown sugar with Molasses, agave nectar or maple syrup.

  4. Sweet & Tangy Grilled Chicken – Chicken marinated in cider vinegar, dijon mustard, garlic, lemon, lime and sugar. THE BEST! We make this at least 3 times a month. I use all ingredients and substitute molasses, agave nectar or maple syrup for Brown Sugar

  5. Grilled Bruschetta Chicken – Only 5 ingredients. We add a splash of balsamic vinegar for some more flavor.

  6. Grilled Cheesy Buffalo Chicken – Grilled spicy chicken breast stuffed with mozzarella cheese. I substitute Stubb’s Sugar free or original Barbecue sauce for the hot sauce because my stomach is sensitive since my procedure and I can’t do spicy things anymore.

  7. Sticky Honey Lime Grilled Chicken ~ So good…everyone will love it! I use rice vinegar instead of Apple cider Vinegar and I also only use 1/2 teaspoon of chili powder as 2 tablespoons is too spicy for me.

  8. Grilled Chicken Caprese – Only 6 ingredients. I like to substitute Primal kitchen Ranch avocado dressing for the Italian dressing.

  9. Cheesy Grilled Chicken Parmesan Soup – I substitute Cauliflower for the dry pasta. If you have to use pasta, I would go for the Barilla ProteinPlus Brand

  10. Awesome Sauce Chicken- Only 3 Ingredients! I like to use Stubb’s Barbecue instead of hot sauce.

Don't be the person who pins 30 recipes and still makes peanut butter and sandwiches. Trust me I am not the best cook and my smoke alarm even cheers me on sometimes! I used to be the Gal who had a passion for not cooking, but we all have to start somewhere!
